Opened in October with over 100 hectares of land, the Amazon Biopark is a good option for relaxing with the family and also for feeling adrenaline. There was activated a 270-meter zip line, which promises an air travel through biomes that cover the region.
The attraction is paid, costs R$20 per person, and initially only works on weekends, between Friday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (there is a break between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. for maintenance). The biopark is on JK Highway, between Macapá and Fazendinha district.
The 10-meter-high starting point for the zip line is in the northeast of the park, next to the Poets Garden, Trapiche, Amazon Garden, Waterfall and Mother’s Water Well. It can be accessed by Central, Pau Brasil or Ressaca trails.
The visitor will also be able reach the starting point through the tree structure, which has not yet been opened to the public. The proposal is for Ecotone contemplation, another attraction of the biopark, which covers the terra firme, hangover and cerrado ecosystems.
The news follows one of the purposes of the biopark, encouraging sustainable tourism. The city administration, which manages the space, informed that the equipment complies with the Brazilian Normative Standard (ABNT / NBR 155088-1), and that it has safety certifications.
