The Serra do Aracá State Park is part of the municipality of Barcelos, about 400 km from Manaus, the capital of Amazonas State. Located between the White and Black rivers, the Park has a unique biodiversity and displays mountains that reach 1,700m high.
The reserve covers a chain of rocky shields located in the extreme north of Brazil. They are the Tepuis, rock formations that look like a table of more than 1,000m in height. One of the representatives is the mystical Mount Roraima.
Within the perimeter of the Park, the Serra do Aracá appears as an immense table in the middle of the Amazon Forest. One of the attractions is the Eldorado Waterfall. Located right in the middle of a narrow valley, the watercourse plunges from the incredible height of 360m. To visit the waterfall, it is necessary to organize an expedition.
The area is quite wild. We need to bring tools and camping material since there is no on-site hosting infrastructure.
